The art project SJÜÜN (Sylt Frisian, SJÜÜN, di: eyecatcher, what comes to mind) plays with the imagination of the viewer. Our perception is the direct connection to the world. Through our senses we store various aspects of the surrounding world, we memorize in our retention, our remembrance medium. Whether conscious or unconscious. Our perception space is always individual and always perspective.
Tour 11 places on the island and attend this project.
12 artworks from the collection of the Sylter Heimatmuseum (local museum) are in communication with the island’s places. What does the Tinnum castle have to do with the biike fire, the "storm flood" with the Westerlaender Kurmuschel (cure shell)? And where is the Cobra? Archives of the intangible monuments will give you information about the respective comparison.
The entire art project ,Sjüün' can be found in the app of the same name. Listen to the view and picture descriptions in German, English and Sylter Frisian.
