"power ballet"

Performance, MFG-5 Terrain, Kiel masts and flags (DK, EU, DE, SH), Performer, 2016 The performance staging on the one hand reflects the military past, on the other hand the current situation of power relations with the people suffering from them. Refugees hoist the European, German, Danish and Schleswig-Holstein flags in a "flag-ballet" - and pick them up at half-mast - in order to hoist them. This interplay of the "takeover of power" pushes the viewer to reflect on our common history.
